This organization is the most important in our educational system. We need to have School districts support this organization. They won't do it by a monitary reward for those who are certified, but they can do it by appointing certified teachers to chair committies, lead teacher meetings, letting teachers know that they are certified, and encourage other teachers to become certified.

But I also see a problem. If a great many teachers are certified, they will expect the district to treat them as professionals. In too many of our schools teachers are thought of as laborers, and professional educators will not tolerate that. Manhy of the problems of our schools is the orgaization of the district. For the most part our schjools are not orgainized as professionql institutions. I recomend you read my book "TEACHING KIDS TO FAIL". I point out the four components of a students education, Parents, Schools, Community and Government. All are failing, it is not just the school.There is much professional educators can do to improve our system of education. So I wish you well Ron, and hope that the orgaization can move towards a greater degree of professionalism in education.
